Fallen

This is my first abstract painting of a Fallen. It was weird working on it because I've never done fine art work before. So my eyes is not used to it. But it looks better up close than the picture though, you can actually see what's really going on in it. If you look at the background, there's a mountain, the green to the right is trees, down from it is waterfall, a white horizontal is a bird, a long dark brownish going across under the bird is a bridge. Down further is a group of red flowers and a river under it. Can you see it? I hope the explaining helps a bit and how much would this piece cost? Any idea?

James and the Giant Peach

Well, here's the type logo for "James and the Giant Peach" I've been making on and off for about 3 months. I'm happy with the way this turned out (thanks to some great advice from my AG friend Sara).

The original plan was to make the entirety of the book cover myself, but after some deliberation with Jeremy we decided this would be an excellent project to collaborate on, as we've been planning to work together for some time. Enjoy, and look forward to more from us on this!

EDIT: I have no idea why it's an olive color, it's supposed to be black. Whatever, it looks hawt like this, for now.

Another night at the globe...

I can PAINT

Well kinda, I'm learning. Anyway, this first one is a figure painting done at the figure session on saturday mornings at the St Pete art center. Every first saturday they have a long pose.

This one is a picture I found on corbis that I really liked.

And these.... well... I just thought everyone missed my face and needed a reminder of what I looked like, plus, my beard and long hair are freakin sweet!

I can DRAW!

I can draw! This first one is a copy of.... ummm, Duncan who is this a copy of? Anyway I copied it from someone elses charcoal drawing. Trying to study up some values.

Then the next one is a piece of mulch on concrete. I was talking on the phone and got tired of walking around in circles.

INTRODUCING CRAIGERS

Yea, sorry about that Craig.

Ok so everyone this is Craig, a friend of mine for quite some time now. He's been drawing and painting with me and Duncan, here in the st. pete area. Like he said in his post he'll be starting up at Ringling in the Fall in the Illustration program. Please welcome him as one of our own!

Painting with Jeremy!

Hi there kids! I hang out and draw and paint with Jeremy and Duncan but niether Jeremy, nor Duncan have introduced me yet (how do you introduce someone on a blog anyway?). So I'll just start posting. I hope posting my latest painting isn't cheating. I'll be starting at Ringling this fall btw, can't wait! (and no, this isn't a self portrait, it's from corbis)

"I fail at everything."

Long time no see. No, really, I haven't been even reading the blog as of late. So this is a Hogwart's portrait I did for a friend at AG named Sara that I really only did just because she asked and kept pestering me for; glad I did it though. I don't know what the hell house she's in.
