This site works something like an etch-a-sketch using sound instead of two dials. If you have a laptop with a microphone built in, try playing some of your own music and see what you get. The song will vary pretty dramatically from a minor change in volume, so play around a bit!

Munny Fun

Hey all...heres something fun i've been working on.
I've had this munny sitting on my drawing table for a few months and I finaly decided to do somthing with it.
It still has a ways to go but here's a quick snapshot of my progress on it.

some old self-portraits in charcoal i really like. i've been meaning to post these since some time last year.

My work is start for give us a theme each month to work an illustration of our instead of have a challenge of hiding things in the illustrations in our books. After a couple months they are planning to have a gallery show with our illustrations that we have done for the themes. This month theme is Wizard of oz. This is what I have done for it.

Hell Yeah

Something I thought of last night as I was going to sleep. I didn't want to spend too long on this, so you'll have to excuse its rough simplicity. :)

Alright J, I didn't feel these were strong enough to share... but here you go:

   

  

These are little watercolor experiments done in my sketchbook. The top row are just out of my head and the second row are from random internet reference. These aren't really drawn because I was impatient to mess around with color. I was never very comfortable with the medium and I'm slowly figuring out what I like/don't like, such as how to blend it, layer splotches for different color qualities, using line/ink, etc.

Well actually Christmas cupcakes!!! Every Christmas we do Jello-Cake (DELICIOUS!) so this year we tried Jello-Cupcakes, they kind of worked, they tasted just as amazing but when we took them out of the pan there was a nice layer of jello!!

I decided I need to start painting hands, I'm not good at them, and you can tell by this one, at least you can tell its a hand now. At one point it looked like a weird blob attacking the cupcake! I need to put more color in the skin tones too.

Somthing Different!

I have been hankering to do some oil paintings lately. Here is the first one of a hopeful many. Man I really miss painting like this.
The painting is from a tattoo magazine i have...the colors may be a bit off...once the painting dries i'll scan it in and hopfully the colors will be better. OOh I painted this on a linen board...i rather enjoyed this...i may have to pick some more up.

After looking at some stuff of Lou Romano's, I was inspired to take the detective illustration in a more... traditional (?) approach. So here it is.

Co-Workers

Here's a painting i did of a coworker, Jason should remember him. I've been doing a painting like this every day the past few days and I think im starting to get a feel of the medium and technique. I know I'm having a blast doing them. Ther'll be more later on this week...if I can keep up this crazy work schedule.

Just a little something

My first post from (and first drawing scanned in on) my shiny new computer! Yay!

A while back I asked Jeremy for an idea of something to draw. He suggested something along the lines of merpeople and Atlantis; while I didn't make a full illustration on that idea at least I finally did something with it. I may or may not do a color version, but I'm working on a film-noir detective movie-inspired illustration right now that will probably take precedence over this, so who knows.
