I felt like I need more work to show I can do layout so... here ya go. I'm pretty happy with it, I only have a couple issues with it but I'll keep those to myself and see if anyone else has the same problems.

Jason! This isn't bad, but seems to be a bit bland. When laying out a page graphicly you need to think about what is going to make the viewer interested in this page? Try making Stephen's name Bigger? Possibly 2 lines? And I'd try finding the Indiana Jone's font used on the movie title. Also the font used in the body copy is a pretty formal font. Try to stay more Kid(ish) font. Looking at a magazine now they actually use something like Helvetica for Nickelodeon and a serif font for the person being interview. Also consider the reader. The type is a tad small.
I don't want to sound harsh in this but you do have a good start. Just needs a bit more and it'd be kicker.
Heck no man, feedback is welcome! Can't get better if you don't know what you're doing wrong.
I had actually planned on using the Indy font for his name like you said but the version I found had (according to Font Book) some pretty serious errors and it recommended I not install the font. Good points on the body text - I was trying for something that looked sort of hand-written to jive with the paper it's on but maybe it doesn't work as well as it could.
Looking good, I agree with everything thats been said. The only thing that I really thought of when I saw this was "I have to strain to read the text" and I'm talking about the main body. Other than that, like I said I agree with whats been said.
