WOAH! Jason...this "THEME BAISED" not bad not bad. He must have been plundering Germany since he has a German Stein mug or a German Viking! German steins are more typically the ones that had the tops...but I could be wrong too. Nice work man Keep em coming!
Thanks for the crits on my work latly. Solid info like always :)
I like how your useing the stitching of his jacket to help show some form. Keep pushing your overlapping shapes where ever possible. I think the area of his hand holding the mug is great and how it pushes his cloak back behind it.
Nice Jason. One thing, his left eye area is looking a bit distorted. The planes around that eye socket bring the bottom forward but the top back, its strange. Otherwise looking real good. Nice mug, I grew up with a bunch of German mugs around!!
Me too actually, my dad collected em and had them sitting on the tops of the cupboards for the vast majority of my childhood. I didn't know they were german, but I guess it makes sense, hehe.
As far as the eye goes, thanks for pointing that out, the face looked a bit wonky to me and I couldn't get a handle on what the problem was. I wanted to make him looking cock-eyed, but I guess I need to work on planar structure around the eyes more.

Plus he is a great off set triangle.
