New Painting

Heres a self portrait study I did this weekend. Oil on Canvas, 15x14. With Duncan's help I figured out why its so different than the rest of my paintings, the values are a lot closer to each other and more gradual than my usual high contrasting paintings. It was very fun and very quick, took me about an hour and a half to do this.

When I was it I was like it a jeremy but it had a different feel from he other paintings. I glade to see you expecmenting with different ways to paint. I think you made your cheek too chubby. your a chubby face jeremy in the painting.

you're beautiful! I think the left side you your face in this is missing some shadow, adding it in would make a good quick fix, i think, maybe, that is unless, you've just decided to be done with it.

I'd say your neck looks abnormally thick in this particular painting; The hair also looks like it needs some darker darks, it looks too separate from the facial hair which has quite a value range in comparison. It's rockin' that you're trying something different though, keep at it!
