Rehoboth band stand

Trying to figure out the perpetive on the band stand gave me a good amount of trouble, so it toke me a while to do this drawing. I been trying to get the hang of perpestive and pen and ink drawings so thats one of the reason why I been doing a lot of ramdom drawings like benches and band stands and light house.

Todays adventures

So we started off today with a very nice lunch at Panera. The Panera girl recognized me and commented on how she hasn't seen me in a few weeks which lead to a very nice conversation. My goals for next week is that she remebmers my name and we can talk about other things than idiotic customers.

Yes... that is the Space Shuttle Mercury, and no... this is not a regular check up.

Then once I returned home and fixed my rear view mirror (which fell off yesterday while driving home) I noticed I had a huge puddle of coolant. Have I ever mentioned I hate cars. So I got that looked at and got my oil changed, but there was no leak to be found. So either my luck has turned or is just waiting to blow up in my face in the future. I'm counting on the latter.

So I played a bit in photoshop before I posted, I didnt mean to, but the brush tool selected it self and red was already there...

best for last

These last two pages are the ones I'm happiest with for some reason. Go figure.

With the first one I had an image in my head of this victorian-gothic-steampunk-looking girl. Obviously this is not her. It got very far removed from what I had in mind, and I don't think I'll ever be able to get it down on paper. I like the way this came out though.

And with the last image in this series of posts, I started off with only a very basic idea: a tight top that was cut to reveal only the shoulders. The rest of it ended up being elaborations that happened spontaneously. After all was said and done I noticed a big similarity to the clothing style they used for Assassins in Guild Wars: Factions. I assure you this was not intentional, but I'm not going to argue, 'cause I like the results.

Pirates

darn I didn't bet jeremy on posting. foy I blame my cat she keep sitting on my sketch book when I trying to finish my drawing. She did move after a while of me poking at her but then an half hour later or so she was back trying to sit on my sketch book.
Well any how this is for the theme of the week, pirates so here is a sketch that I been working on for it. I been also working on an other drawing Which I hoping to be done with that one tomorrow then I'll post that. The one that I am posting now I might end up putting it to color depeneding on my mood. I been trying to get to many things done at once so things have been getting done slowy.

Photoshop FUN

I've been haveing a lot of fun drawing in PS lately. I drew this dude today siting in front of the TV And I was pretty happy with the outcome. I know it's not quite finished but for where it's at I think it looks good. What do you guys think?

we are so doing this

You and me Jeremy. You and me. No one else is jumping in so it looks like you and I are gonna be alternating.

Got a bit of a sailor thing going on here today. More specifically I had "whaler" in mind while I was drawing this, or at least the idea of a whaler as I tend to imagine it.

Stupid Moby Dick ruined my life.

Holy Mother of Ink Batman!

these first two arent even from waiting in the airport, these are from bordem and the lack of people in the laundry matt. I started getting really bored. I mean just look at this sillyness!
Ok here starts the amazingness of airport bordem. I got there really early cause I didnt want Duncan to have to pay to park his car at the airport and there was no point in droping him off and going back home only to have to leave to the airport myself.
Umm, actually I think I'll be like Jason and post more airport bordem tomorrow after a few others have posted. Dont want to saturate the market with myself!

mother of mercy

Finally finished some of the sketches at Christmas that I'd been working on for a while now. I figure I don't want to flood the blog with my junk though, so I'll be posting just a couple each day the rest of this week. Hopefully that will be spaced out enough so other sketchers will post some stuff in between *wink wink nudge nudge*

Some dude in a coat? I dunno. I find myself fascinated by collars though, something you might notice in the next few days.

Fellow Sketcher. Doi!

Buddha! I've felt a bit out of place this year at Christmas since... well, since I'm not really Christian anymore. I didn't plan to do this drawing, it just sort of happened. I certainly am not going to argue, though.

Cabin Boy *Color's off on the preview

Well it's been awhile since I've posted....well ok not that long, but seems like a long enought to me. Christmas is over for this year and I am home sketching away. I'm going to be making some new years resolutions and one of them is to get better at digital art. So here is a sketch I did in Photoshop of a Cabin Boy for the pirates theme we got going this week. I seem to be getting better but some tips would help me along so let me hear your shouts.

So heres the performance painting I did. I had about half an hour and the canvas is 29x36? I dont remember I'm just making things up now. So yea, I painted while the Christmas Service went on, then at the end we had spot lights on it. The room lights were off everyone at this point had a candle and boom, spot lights on Marry and baby Jesus!

I started out painting really quick thinking I wouldnt have enough time but then after I had painted all the green background I slowed down alot. Then as my time ended I was like "crap not enough time, paint faster, faster faster faster!".

Also I started with the green back ground and tried to paint the parts in a way that only half way through did anyone really know what I was painting.

Whistle while you work!

So here's a few pages of randomness in Jeremy's work sketch book. Enjoy!

Silly tracing paper over the ladies... I forgot it was there.

Rehoboth beach light house.

Well on one of the main roads that leads in the the beach part of rehoboth beach there is a a light house that is in the middle of the street. Which the made it it the a traffice circle. It has been there for a really long time and I am pretty sure no one can getting in the it because the door it really small.

Sketchin the night away...well morning anyway

Well it's another wonderful day at home. I just watched Neverending Story and was inspired to draw the Rock Eater and some other characters. I had a fun time doing this...Oddly enough I think I am drawing A LOT more than when I did at Ringling, and I seem to be improving or at least learning somthing new everyday.....WOO HOO. Well enjoy my sketches and let me know what you think.

Have you been good?

Well have you? I hope that everyone out there is going to have a fun and safe holiday. I know I am. This is another fun illustration on cardboard, or rather the cheap cardboard from a veggie burger box that my roommate had finished. I think it took the cheap-o acrylic paint I have. The suff works ok but takes forever to dry and is really runny but it's not the supplies its the art right? Well I am off work tomorrow...again (which is why I am still up at 2AM) so I'll probally be doing some more illustrations and posts. Well I suppose I should get some sleep now. Later all. ^^

Mad Sceince Cardboard

Woo Hoo! Today is a good day, I took Jason to work and came back home and went back to sleep till 11AM! I haven't done that in a long time. When I woke up I started to sketch and draw just random things. Here is something that was in my head earlier today and fortunately I had the time to get it down before he faded away to the depths of my mind. Yes he is on some cardboard, but not just any ordinary cardboard. This is come cardboard that Jason let me have from some picture frames that he had. The nifty thing is that these already have some hangers in the back....no need for tape here. Hope you like this one...I have another that I'm working on. Enjoy and keep creating.

Oil Progress

I had some time today so I thought I'd add some paint to the girls face....I know it looks kinda weird now but Trust me it's gonna sing later on, I'll find a sound chip at work or somthing hahaha. Seriously I am having some troube on the back ground color.. What you guys think...I know I don't want to paint the entire background and Just wanna throw some brush strokes in. I tried a lighter color ie green and white ... it was then that I remember that Light colors come forward....sigh...josh is sometimes a tad on the slow side. Ok I am out for now. Maybe some watercolor or something.

I started a new Oil Painting today!

Man I feel like I've been really busy with drawing lately but hey I LOVE IT! I have been itching to start an oil painting so I figured today was going to be the day. Here's what I got out in about 20 mins...I really want to do more but I figured I'd let the sketch dry first then crank it out. Man I need to get more streachers and canvas....or better yet some masonite!!!! I am excited for this piece!

Pygmy NOW in COLOUR!!!

Woo! I am pretty happy with the out come of this...it's been forever since I have used my wacom and I'd have to say this isn't that bad of a job. The colors need some tweeking but...eh it's about learning right? Well if it is then I have learned tons. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
