Very Nice Katie! I like it....have you tried a colored background with this one? I think if you were to toss in a color in the background it just might make this peice sing even more. Nice job on it.
I not sure about adding the peacock's tail I am a faired that it will be to busy, So I tried to have the tail feather repasneted in the picuter but using that patten in the coners. hehe plus I wasn't sure on how to do the tail feather in illustrator.

katie, this is fantastic. Nice use of the gradients and you arranged all the shapes seamlessly. That's tough to do in illustrator!
