Somthing Different!

I have been hankering to do some oil paintings lately. Here is the first one of a hopeful many. Man I really miss painting like this.
The painting is from a tattoo magazine i have...the colors may be a bit off...once the painting dries i'll scan it in and hopfully the colors will be better. OOh I painted this on a linen board...i rather enjoyed this...i may have to pick some more up.
Let me know what you guys think.

A Break In The Case

After looking at some stuff of Lou Romano's, I was inspired to take the detective illustration in a more... traditional (?) approach. So here it is.

And here's the original, more saturated version, since I couldn't decide what direction I wanted to take it.

Co-Workers

Here's a painting i did of a coworker, Jason should remember him. I've been doing a painting like this every day the past few days and I think im starting to get a feel of the medium and technique. I know I'm having a blast doing them. Ther'll be more later on this week...if I can keep up this crazy work schedule.

Just a little something

My first post from (and first drawing scanned in on) my shiny new computer! Yay!

A while back I asked Jeremy for an idea of something to draw. He suggested something along the lines of merpeople and Atlantis; while I didn't make a full illustration on that idea at least I finally did something with it. I may or may not do a color version, but I'm working on a film-noir detective movie-inspired illustration right now that will probably take precedence over this, so who knows.

Me AGAIN!

Well now, this is crazy for me. Two posts in one week!...I gotta keep this up.
This cowpoke is currently making his home in my sketchbook. I'm happy to say that he is very content existing there but is hankering to get out and into some illustrations. Lately i've been thinking of making a children's book and the urge has been somthin fierce. I think Im going to be doing a cowboy related story...we'll see.

About this piece, I decided to try a different approach to my painting technique. I've been watching some tutorial videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB2DQhbszFI Matt Bush has some great stuff. I've learned quite a bit just in this piece alone. I just have to get my airbrush up and running again.

Well I gotta run now...and get an oil change and run some errands.

Hope all is going well with y'all
J

Cowboy

Hey all, thought I'd do a quick post this morning just before I start working. I am working on new ideas and working on getting them done. Currently they are building up in my head, I'm going to be working on some this weekend.

Here is a piece that i did just to make sure that I still knew how to "paint". I have relearned a lot and have a lot of ideas on how to get a better image in the end.

Sorry about the bad pic. Aparently I suck at taking pictures of my work. Once I get a scanner I'll get better pics.

This is a demo i had to do for work. Different people where a sign different topics and had to do a presentation on that topic. I was told to do a demo in Illustrator. So I came up with this image for the demo plus I wanted to do an artwork that has nothing to do with work.

Image that not going to be used

I figure that since this image is not going to be used for this pain of an author book I can share it with you. Usually we just send character samples but when a book doesn't have a character we create a style for the book.

I think this author is crazy and there are many reason why I think this. In this seen it talks about god creative animals birds and bees, mountains and ocean. Hint thats why I put them in there. But is her mind this does not capture "GOD AWESOMENESS"!!!!! When ever I ask question she always say doesn't capture god awesomeness what don't you like a about the mountain or the tree. She also thought it look too preschool which she whats to target them but not really she what to target adults and have photo's and buy them off the internet. We have a month to work on three book so yeah, photo realism doesn't work well for us. I think she lazy too because I asked her to send me a photo's of what she was thinking and she send me a link the google images then there all she did was type in God Awesomeness and give you different images to look at. There where people rooms some landscapes but not many and not really had anything to do with want was writing on that page and she want us to go throw them and pick out want we liked. I just thinking to my self how is this surpost to help me get a better understanding of what you are looking for. I could keep going on and on but I put a good amount of time on the image and will like to share it so the image doesn't go to waste.

Strut!

I enjoy drawing this fellow. He's very helpful in my learning to draw in this particular way, as far as making the character very emotive and fluid. I'll be making a bit more effort in trying to be mindful of his body's mass, how each part is shaped and where it is in relation to the rest of his body. I'm picking up some great little tricks and ideas from the Disney books I've been poring over. Yay!

The fat man again

I like to think he looks like Ben Franklin. He isn't Ben Franklin, just looks like him.

I'm shooting for a bit more deformation with his body mass swelling up from his gut to his chest due to his outrage. I'm still working on posing; I'm a terrible actor, so I need to look at people who can emote through body language better than I can.

For Long Posts

Hey everyone! I'm still working out the code, its not really right but it kinda works, but if you have a ridiculously long post here's some instructions on how to keep it reasonable.

Go about you post as usual but for the part that will be hidden, put this code around it:

So it will look like this:

Here is the begining of my post, please click on the title. Or say what ever you want to here. Then you put in that code and what ever is written here will be hidden. You'll have to click the title of the entry to see it. Then you end it up with this code.

Then you publish your post! Easy-peasy! If you have any questions comment or email me. jeremyschramm@hotmail.com

Again I'll be working on the correct code but for now this is it!

Thank you!

Page layout

I felt like I need more work to show I can do layout so... here ya go. I'm pretty happy with it, I only have a couple issues with it but I'll keep those to myself and see if anyone else has the same problems.

Hello, This is Jeremy. Because this post is so long I set it up where you need to click the post title to see the post. So please CLICK THE POST TITLE "It toke a while But here it is.". Thank you.

Papa Herb’s ice cream parlor is a small quiet place with the kindest ice cream man there is.

One day a little boy came in with a coupon, which said, “get one free make your own ice Sunday.” The little boy handed Papa Herb the coupon and he said to the little boy ”well, well, well, aren’t you a lucky little boy.” You get to have what ever your little heart desires on your ice cream Sunday.

The little boy thought for a little bit and then told Papa Herb, “ I want the biggest ice cream Sunday you can make me!” Papa Herb started to laugh.

“Are you sure you can eat such a big treat?” asked Papa Herb, as he thought to himself how big could this Sunday really be?

“Oh yes sir I am really. So hungry in fact I can eat a hole mountain of ice cream!” Replayed the little boy. For kick and giggles Papa Herb got his biggest ice cream Sunday bowl he has.

“Are you ready to make your Sunday?” asked Papa Herd to the little boy. The little boy nodded his head and with a great big smile on his face he yelled, “ Yes, Sir!”

“Ok then let begin,” said Papa Herb.

“I want Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla ice cream, also some Mint Chocolate Chip, Peppermint Stick, Rocky Road, Butter Pecan and Peanut Brittle. Some Peach, Blackberry, Moose Track and Sherbet ice cream,” the little boy said enthusiastically as Papa Herb ran around all over the ice cream parlor trying to keep up with the little boys demands.

I want hot fudge, hot caramel, butterscotch. Strawberry, and pineapple toppings as the boy toke a big breath before he continued. Sprinkles, snowcaps, gummy bears and gum drops, licorice and chocolate chips and also don’t forget whipped cream and five cherries if you please.

Papa Herb was tired exhausted from all of the running around but finally finished the biggest Sunday in town. The Sunday was so big that Papa Herb asked for help to carry it to the table so the little boy could sit down.

Papa Herb went back to his counter as he watched the little boy to see if he could finish this creation. The little boy licked his lips and took a scoop full of ice cream from the very top, in which was his very first bit.

All of a the sudden some thing odd just happened the little boy got up from the table where he was sitting. Papa Herb was so confused. Did he forget an ice cream or a topping? He was so sure that is put five cherry on top what could it be?

As the little boy got to the counter Papa Herb started to panic.” Excuse me sir, Can I please have a box, I am stuffed?”

The Last page is just some ruff drawling of spots that I was thinking of using for the text page.
